Categorization for Context
I categorize golf motion styles into systems for the sake of clarity and understanding. No golfer fits perfectly into a single swing style, but without a structured framework, you’re essentially shooting in the dark.
These classifications and structures are my own interpretations of swing systems that are both effective and valid. While I may not have covered every single style out there, I’ve done my best to cut through the noise for you as a reader.

Old School Swings
I bunch together the legacies of anything from Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf, Tom Watson all the way to Fred Couples, John Daly and Ernie Els. Or why not some of the elements of a modern Xander Schauffele or Scottie Scheffler.
