Effortless Playable Power in Golf – The Outcome of What Exactly?

Effortless power is incredible to achieve, but effortless playable power is even better. Playability means finding the perfect balance between power and control.

The great golfers of the past mastered the swing arc to generate early power and accelerate the club through precise mechanics. This created effortless power for them. But how do you accelerate a circle? You act towards the center.

By applying centripetal action, you stimulate centrifugal force—unlocking effortless, controlled power in your golf swing.

How to do it – Roughly

You treat the downswing arc as your instrument and add power early into the system. This leads to an input value that takes very little effort to achieve. You then take this input power and you accelerate it with the “act towards the center” movement. This action also requires very little effort.

Instead of being effortfull in a punctual event in the impact region you instead treat the entire swing arc as your instrument. In other words, the actual hit of the golf ball becomes a collision on a much longer journey.

Playability Concept

So the swing arc is your buddy and you use it but how do you deal with the clubface? Actually, this is one of the few secrets of golf’s golden age. It’s basically about presenting another direction for the energy in the club that puts the clubface in a much kinder face/path ratio at impact. The best golfers of all time had a much simpler motion than most non-professionals. They played a much easier game.

In the FMM swing that I teach I take all of these old school concepts and systemize them for complete understanding. The outcome is that you only train 2 baseline intentions that are related to the golf club…
