Complete Club Connection – A Harmonic Feel
A great benefit of using the swing arc like the old greats did is achieving complete club connection in your golf swing motion.
You’ve probably heard advice like “swing the clubhead”—but that’s easier said than done. You can only truly feel the clubhead in certain areas of the swing. I create full club connection by actively training my awareness of the dynamic power in the club—the ever-changing power expression within the swing arc.
This feeling is developed through focused training and driven by two clear intentions.
The Swing Arc Lead the Way
When you decide that your engine will be how you move in the swing arc (and make your body react) then you move into the realm of feeling your club during your entire motion. If you are into e.g. shallowing your club in transition you likely feel a disconnect to the equipment. This works for some but most feel a slight control issue here since they “loose the club” for a split second.
More Relaxed and Harmonic Golf
With a complete club connection you actually can “afford” to not grip the club that hard. You become more effortless. Read about grip pressure here if you wish.
After 10 years of studying what the old greats did and how they did it, I’ve discovered that the FMM Swing is fundamentally about connecting to your golf club and being there for its journey. The result? Training two intentions for a month and then become in tune with your equipment in your motion.
The old masters cracked the golf swing code (if you’re into effortless golf) more than 50 years ago.
